January is named after the Latin word for door, since January is the door to the year and an opening to new beginnings. Which is odd because I always thougt it was  named after Janus, the god of beginnings and transitions in Roman mythology. It finaly makes sense that Juno, not Janus,  was the tutelary diety of the month.

With February closing in I hope that all of my Liberty family walked confidently through the door of the year, 1 month down 11 to go! #LANN2020

Fun stuff corner of good vibes! This exciting new column is all about fun stuff that brings good vibes. I know the title may be a little too on the nose, but being constantly creative is very tireing. I mean imagine being looked to for constant entertainment. I am but a man, come on people! OK, I've calmed down, back to the business at hand. Here is some fun stuff that gives good vibes.

The Novato office had a hot chocolate day to keep warm during a rain storm. You know what they say, "an office that has hot chocolate to keep warm together, outsells all other offices in its company because they built a team that is there for eachother whether or not it is warm outside." or at least I, have heard people say that.

If I wasn't engaged I would be super jelly, but I am so I can be super happy!!! Yes I have the emotional intelligence of a small child.

Take it away Abby!

"Well, Mark had informed my parents and my brothers that he was going to pop the question on Christmas Eve. When it was time to open the presents Mark stepped up in front of the tree and said he wanted to give out the first present that was a special one and called me up to stand by him. I went up and said “ what are you doing? Its your first Christmas with us and already you think you can take the lead lol.” Mark then handed me a little gift bag and as I opened it slowly I realized it was a ring box and said “ MARK WHAT ARE YOU DOING??!!!” He started telling me some beautiful words and ended with “ I couldn’t imagine anyone else growing old with me, Abby will you continue this journey with me forever???!!!!” I froze….was quiet for about 2  min and then said “ OF COURSE!” and cried like a baby…hugged my dad and we cried together. My girls were super excited and hugged Mark and I and said “ we are so happy you’re going to marry our mommy
😊

Something I never expected, something I never imagined lol."

Shout outs! We can't stop talking about each other and it's a good thing!

“Major shout out to Jay Alvaran!! He’s always so willing to step in and help out- most times without me even asking!! He has so much on his plate yet he’s always so positive and an awesome energy to have around the office, he makes everything better!”

What is your fondest memory?

Monica Gomez-

Work:

I am not sure this is a fond memory for both parties involved.  Back in 2015, Liberty had, I believe, their second combined holiday party.  Jerry had planned to serenade us with his piano and singing skills.  I, of course, took this as an informal invitation to join in.  I turned to Mini and Wendy and said, “I think he wants me to join him”.  They of course said “no”, but I was sure they were wrong.  So I got up and joined him singing Great Balls of Fire.  In my mind, I sounded amazing, but I am sure the audience and Jerry would beg to differ.

** I tried to find a photo but there is no proof of this.

Personal:

Sure, sure, we would all expect me to say that my wedding is my fondest memory.  It comes a close second to my first.  One of my and my husband’s favorite things to do is travel.  On our second trip to Europe we planned to visit Brugge, Belgium.  I immediately fell in love with Brugge’s city center.  It was magical and whimsical.  Something straight out of a fairytale.  I spent days people watching and soaking up how the locals lived.  One day we were walking around the city and off in the distance I see a bread stall.  The kind of bread stall you see in a movie set in medieval times.  I remember turning to my husband and saying, “Look, this place is so whimsical they still sell bread out of old timey bread carts.  This is so cool.”  We walked closer so that we could take a picture.  As we got closer I noticed the bread looked a bit off.  It was off because it was fake.  We looked at each other in bewilderment.  As we were walking away, down one of the alley ways, we saw knights on horseback.  Apparently we had walked into an area of the city that was being used to film a TV show.  I was so awe-struck by Brugge that I couldn’t separate the fairytale from reality.  Of all the cities we have traveled to, Brugge continues to be our favorite.

Usually in this segment we mention family members that are celebrating 1-3-5-10 year milestones. This month is an odd one with only off year anniversaries. So I would like everyone to join me in celebrating everyone. Take a minute to go to the office/room/cubical next to you and ask the person there when they started. While you're at it, ask what their favorite part of being Liberty Family is. One last thing, share those stories with me, Kip Tryon, so that I can share them with everyone!

Some ancient alien theorists belive that if you ask a Christine a question you are opening up a portal to our creators. I believe if you ask a Christine a question you get the unabashed truth. A new month and a new set of questions. Does Christine Approve?

Now when you talk to the people above you dont have to ask them what there sign isCapricorn is a sign that represents time and responsibility, and its representatives are traditional and often very serious by nature. ( a website told me.)

Capricorn – the Goat of Fear A goat with the tail of a fish is created to face fear and create panic. It is the sign of decisions made to be protected from monsters in our minds, lives, and immediate physical surrounding. Always ready to transform into something that scares those scary things off, Capricorn speaks of each natural chain reaction of fear, where one scary thing leads to many others, rising up as defensive mechanisms that only make things worse. Immersed in their secrecy, they face the world just as they are – brave enough to never run away, but constantly afraid of their inner monsters. (a website also told me this)

Well if thats not Meta enough for ya, well then you're way too meta, chill brah!
